Bucolic. Calm. Beautiful. 'Living the Life' beside the sea. Healthy. Happy. Days of Sunny Holidays. But sometimes, no ....
Imagine a dark winters night; the wind is howling, the rain is horizontal its icy-cold drops as sharp as razor blades.
The volunteer RNLI crew are running along that street - Hope Street, their heads bent - pagers on their belts beeping - 'Launch' 'Launch' 'Launch'.
And off they go, into the raging stormy night to save a life of whom they know not.
Sometimes when they return early in the morning The Cove looks exactly like this.
And we know that Hope Street has lived up to its name!
(and for every sale of this print I will make a donation to my local boat, the Weymouth branch of the RNLI)
