The Buick Electra 225 was produced in the 6th generation until 1990. There were various models such as Custom, Limited and Park Avenue as a saloon, coupé and convertible. There were also smaller sister models called Invicta and Le Sabre. The name Electra 225 is derived from the length of the first model, which was approximately 225 inches (5.71 metres).
Equipped with a 401-in3 nailhead V8 engine with 6572 cm3 and Carter twin-barrel carburettor. This gave the 62 Electra of the 2nd generation an output of 325 SAE hp (239 kW) at 4400 rpm.
