Dino is the name of a series of sports cars built by Ferrari and Fiat between 1959 and 1979. After the tragic death of Enzo Ferrari's son (Alfre)Dino Ferrari in 1956, Enzo Ferrari decides, as a posthumous tribute, to name the relatively modest aluminium 2-litre V6 engine (3 double Weber carburettors), which was only co-developed by his son, after him. All V6 engines built by Ferrari bear the name 'Dino' from then on.
