The fish is painted as if it were made of wood. That idea is weird on one side, but it makes you look at this fish with different eyes on the other side.

I am Kris, born in 1977 in Mechelen (BE) and have lived in the Netherlands (Bunnik) since 2001. I am an amateur artist and mainly make acrylic paintings on cotton canvas. My style varies, sometimes I make portraits, lifelike or very colourful, other times I make something abstract. What I like most is to capture the eyes of a person or animal so strikingly that one recognises that person or animal at a glance in the work. That is my challenge.
