The sun hits a tree on a frosty very clear winter morning on the Jaagpad, on the borders of the Kromme Rijn river, between Utrecht and Bunnik, the Netherlands. The photo was taken in the direction of the southeast.
Going out and clicking pictures of what I encounter is one of my passions. The challenge is to make the most of the interplay between weather, light and landscape.
On the one hand I capture the grandeur of the landscape. On the other hand I am always looking for details that I can enlarge. I always follow the light. I shoot in the surroundings of Utrecht; Amelisweerd, Krommerijnstreek, Utrechtse Heuvelrug but also regularly elsewhere in the country.
On top of my wish-list for photography are always rough landscapes, such as the Alps, Scotland, Scandinavia etc.
