I took this macro picture of a red flower in the backyard. The seed of this little flower was sown in a pot in the spring where it bloomed in the summer. I used a macro lens for this photo and a small reflection screen to highlight the side. In post-processing, I improved the colors a bit on this macro photo. I just don't know what kind of flower it is, the seed was in a bag with seeds from different kinds of flowers. Although it is a small flower I thought the red color contrasted nicely against the green background.

Welcome to my shop. My name is Gerard de Zwaan and I was born in 1983 in the Veluwe town of Harderwijk, where I still live. I started photography in 2013. My first camera was a Nikon D3200 which I still own, currently I use a Nikon D7200. Every now and then I also use 1 or 2 Nikon SB700 reportage flash units to highlight a subject. From the beginning I mainly do nature photography, it is mainly landscapes I photograph, the Veluwe woods around Harderwijk being a perfect starting point for this. Occasionally I do macro photography and sometimes I photograph wildlife. Occasionally, I also do portraits of people, which can be commissioned or free work.
