I took this photo on the Ermelosche Heide on the Veluwe. Although it was summer the heather was not yet flowering in a nice purple color. The Ermelosche Heide is a fairly large heathland which is grazed by a herd of sheep. As you can see there were some clouds but luckily also sunny moments. The path in the photo is not part of a route, but you can walk on it.

Welcome to my shop. My name is Gerard de Zwaan and I was born in 1983 in the Veluwe town of Harderwijk, where I still live. I started photography in 2013. My first camera was a Nikon D3200 which I still own, currently I use a Nikon D7200. Every now and then I also use 1 or 2 Nikon SB700 reportage flash units to highlight a subject. From the beginning I mainly do nature photography, it is mainly landscapes I photograph, the Veluwe woods around Harderwijk being a perfect starting point for this. Occasionally I do macro photography and sometimes I photograph wildlife. Occasionally, I also do portraits of people, which can be commissioned or free work.
