Years ago, Eastern Germany almost certainly had the densest theater network in the world. Ticket prices were intentionally kept low, to attract working-class audiences. Many people went to the theater for entertainment. Nowadays, many of these former theaters are abandoned and in decay. This is a photo of one of those theaters that's been left to rot, yet still looks amazing.
Roman Robroek is a photographer who captures forgotten places around the world. In particular, he is focused on creating stunning pho-tos of abandoned locations, rich with wonder, mystery and unanswered questions.
