About the artwork

This image shows the attic of an abandoned building, supported by massive wooden beams and structural pillars. The space appears large and empty, but the carefully laid pipes and metal structures on the floor indicate that this place must have once fulfilled an important function. The wooden walls and beams have felt the ravages of time over the years, which is evident from the discolouration and wear and tear on the walls. The light coming in from the small windows at the sides casts long shadows and adds to the mysterious atmosphere of the room.

A single pillar stands in the centre of the room, watching over the decaying structures like a silent sentinel. Although the room appears to be empty, it still conveys the feeling that there was once hustle and bustle here. Perhaps it was a warehouse, a production site or an important part of a factory. But now only silence remains, while nature and time slowly take over the space.

This picture perfectly captures the aesthetics of decay and arouses curiosity about the past of this place. The strong lines of the beams and pipes combined with the soft rays of light and shadows create an almost surreal, abandoned scene.
