Abstract mountain landscape
Inspired by the abstract paintings of colourfield painters such as Mark Rothko and Barnet Newmann, I arrived at this painting of a mountain landscape.
Lose yourself in the endless distance of mountain after mountain after mountain in a warm, colourful and playful palette of pink, gold, blue, green, ochre and terracotta red. The colours vary in intensity and saturation, creating a wonderful depth you can get lost in.
Subtly, the painting is surrounded by a gold border on all sides, which overflows into the painting via the painting technique.
From far away, you see an abstract mountain landscape; up close, you see an explosion of colour and coarse brushstrokes.
Imagine yourself in the mountains of Switzerland, Austria, Asia, Africa, America or anywhere else in the world and feel the freedom, the fresh, oxygen-rich air through your hair. Hear the cowbells ringing, feel the pebbles under your feet. Feel free in nature.
This colourful painting can also be ordered in a slightly more monochromatic, warm colour palette.
I am MadameRuiz, and am an artist by profession. I hope to delight you with my work. Here in my profile, or on your wall :) Both are fun!
Will you let me know what you think of my work? I would love to get in touch with you. Also when you have one of my works in your home I am very curious about the end result in your interior.
I love everything that has to do with art, culture and creativity. Experiencing, creating, teaching and communicating. Through language, image, non-verbal and through the musical voice.
I became known for my commissioned ink portraits. My work was first shown to a large audience in the program VTWonen Weer verliefd op je huis (February 2021). I make many ink portraits of and for individuals; from pregnancy portraits, wedding portraits, child portraits, love portraits and family portraits to portraits of pets such as dogs, cats, horses and birds. These ink portraits are all handmade by the way, drawn and painted with east indian ink on watercolor paper.
In my shop at work on the wall you can order my Digital Art. Because I normally work almost exclusively on commission, my autonomous art via Digital Art is really a wonderful experimental outlet. This also means that I keep experimenting with painting techniques and collage techniques using Photoshop. Although I love to experiment, quality comes first
