Abstract landscape painted matt watercolour and stitched with the sewing machine with coloured stitched lines . The line give depth to the painting. On the horizon you can vaguely see a village and trees. The cornfields have different colours and a road runs to the horizon. The light is blue with white clouds , it is a bit stormy which can be seen from the dark sky which gives shadows on the land.

I have time to draw and paint more after years of volunteer work for the St. Care Foundation The Gambia. Inspiration I got in the Gambia where I also lived. The colors, the population and life is a great source of inspiration. But also the quieter life now is inspiring to use softer colours and to work more with pastel chalk. But still it's nice to work in all kinds of colours and to try out new techniques and new materials.
