Adam and Eve, Digital painting after the work of Gustav Klimt
Gustav Klimt's work appeals to many of us. It inspires and excites. This digital painting is an adaptation of the well-known work Adam and Eve, by this Jugendstil artist. The original work is of course named after the biblical story where Eve is tempted by the snake to take a bite of the delicious apple. The one thing she wasn't allowed to eat in paradise. Hidden in the work are many parts that refer to this biblical story, and to the stubborn diva as she is depicted here. On the right of the screen we see a bell, referring to the homo bulla. An iconographic image in Western painting that refers to the wonderful life we live without any kind of austerity, but which can suddenly be over, like a beautiful bubble can suddenly burst. So be pious, that is the lesson learned with the bell, which was often used in the seventeenth century painting of the Republic of the Netherlands, where the theme 'for education and entertainment' reigned supreme. But love, life and attraction win in this painting. The colors stimulate this by giving a warm, red cast to this work, combined with warm brown tones.
Sexy, provocative, and a little naughty.
The original work by Gustav Klimt is in the possession of Museum Belvedere in Vienna, inventory number 4402. It remained unfinished because this painting was unfinished when Gustav Klimt died in 1918.
Gustav Klimt lived and worked in Vienna during the Belle Epoque period. He is one of the most famous artists from the Wiener Secession, also known as the Jugendstil or Art Nouveau. His most famous works are in a style of decorative ornamentalism and suggestive eroticism.
Gustav Klimt's work inspires me. There's something enticing about it. Because of the details, because of the gold, but also because of the naughtiness of the women and the special compositions.

Will you let me know what you think of my work? I would love to get in touch with you. Also when you have one of my works in your home I am very curious about the end result in your interior.
I love everything that has to do with art, culture and creativity. Experiencing, creating, teaching and communicating. Through language, image, non-verbal and through the musical voice.
I became known for my commissioned ink portraits. My work was first shown to a large audience in the program VTWonen Weer verliefd op je huis (February 2021). I make many ink portraits of and for individuals; from pregnancy portraits, wedding portraits, child portraits, love portraits and family portraits to portraits of pets such as dogs, cats, horses and birds. These ink portraits are all handmade by the way, drawn and painted with east indian ink on watercolor paper.
In my shop at work on the wall you can order my Digital Art. Because I normally work almost exclusively on commission, my autonomous art via Digital Art is really a wonderful experimental outlet. This also means that I keep experimenting with painting techniques and collage techniques using Photoshop. Although I love to experiment, quality comes first
