In early 2018 I went to Angola and wanted to take some portraits home before I went home. I made this photo of an Angolan woman during the trip.
Making pictures is important to me since I got my first camera on my 19th. I bought a second-hand Canon T50 35mm film camera and started capturing everything that I found interesting.Later I got some equipment for in the dark room of a friend and I started to develop my own black-and-white photos.I still love black and white more than color photographs. When I finished my studies and started working, photography came to the background. But that changed. When I was at a volunteer project in South Africa, I regretted that I did not have a camera with me. From that moment on there is always a camera in my bag! That time in South Africa also created a love for travel.Experiencing and discovering new cultures with their customs, the beautiful nature around the world, I wanted to capture it!Here you will find some of my works and who knows, maybe one of them will soon be on your wall.Do you prefer to have a digital image for personal or commercial use (in high resolution), or do you want to have a work printed on a different material? That is possible! Go to my personal webshop, antoineramakers.com to buy the desired work.- ANTOINE RAMAKERS -
