The Alfa 75, which was sold in the U.S. under the designation Alfa Romeo Milano, received its model designation due to the 75th anniversary, which the brand celebrated in the same year. The internal type designation is 161 and 162B.
During the period of its 7-year production, there were 16 different model variants, each with increasing engine power, and in its most powerful version as the Alfa Romeo 75 3.0 V6 QV with 141 kW (192 hp).
For the motor sport one adapted these for the "International Motor Sport Association" (IMSA) and the most powerful 75 was then called Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo Evoluzione IMSA with 335 HP, in 1988 there was then still another final stage with a larger Garrett turbocharger resulted in 400 HP. And so the best preserved Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo Evoluzione are currently traded at around 100,000 euros.
I have been practicing vintage car photography for more than 35 years and here I mainly photograph normal everyday vehicles which were still on the road en masse over 30 years ago. But also cars with extraordinary, beautiful design. From time to time I take pictures of cars, motorcycles and trucks of recent times, when they have particularly beautiful shapes, curves and somehow tempt to dream and drive like a BMW Z8. I find these automotive beauties not only in museums, but also in specialized workshops for vintage cars, with collectors who have invited me to photograph their classics or often in dark, dusty sheds and halls or simply parked at the roadside.
