An alpine ibex is resting in a mighty mountain landscape. Rocky mountainside in the background and grass in the foreground. It is also easy to see that autumn has taken hold on the grass, plants and moss, and you can see the autumn colors emerging nicely.
This photo was taken in the French Alps, during a hike from Col des Montets near Chamonix. The ibex, 7 in total, were resting near the path and didn't seem at all bothered by the hikers walking by. It was a beautiful sight and of course I couldn't walk by without trying to capture them as well. With a mountain peak in the background, the scene gains depth and the snow also adds to the photo.

I love fresh outdoor air, remote areas, mountains and the tranquility of nature and all these things I try to capture with my camera. When I am in nature, I feel alive and rich. I am always curious about new beautiful places and love discovering patterns, shapes and things that are just a little bit different. Or special. Or crazy. And to make sure it becomes a beautiful picture is one of the most fun things there is!
