An acquisition painting of the former Beursgebouw in Vlissingen, Zeeland.
The building was erected in 1635 in the Dutch Renaissance style. It was located on an access road to the Westerschelde. The square on the adjacent Smallekade was then still a harbour. The Beursgebouw had various owners and functions over the centuries. It was donated to the Hendrick de Keyser Association by the municipality of Veere in 1929. It is now a restaurant.

My focus is on Zeeland.
Living close to dunes, beach and a large nature reserve gives me a rich feeling. A feeling I like to share with others. I want to do that by using my passion for watercolour to depict the most beautiful places, historic towns and villages. So the beauty of this place that attracts many tourists every year. I am currently finishing the images of Walcheren, but the rest of Zeeland will come soon.
With the transparent and colourful look of my watercolours, I also want to show that there is more to Zeeland than mainstream photo images.
