A portrait of one of my scientific heroes, Antonie van Leeuwenhoek. Inventor of the microscope, one of the first to work with microbiology and diseases on a scientific micro-level.
I've added motifs of his most famous works (lenses, petri-dishes etc).
Oil on canvas, imported to digital programming and adjusted. Hints of pop-art and abstractism.
Born with a brush in my hand and a heart full of creativity, hailing from Norway, I discovered my love for art at a young age, finding solace and expression in the vibrant colors of the world around me. Often that is the dramatic landscapes of Norway, and the nature of my amazing home country..
