About the artwork

Aphrodite is in Greek mythology the goddess of love, beauty, sexuality and fertility.

She bestows on mortals the captivating allure of love, but she also inspires the devouring passion of love. She herself has preceded with her example. She has felt the passion of love; she has made more than one person happy by giving him her love. She is married to Hephaistos, the crippled god of fire. When Hephaistos noticed his wife's adultery with Ares, he made an artful net. While both lovers felt safe from any disturbance, they were suddenly captured by Hephaistos in that net and revealed to the mocking glances and words of the other gods.

The woman here is topless in the portrait. Because of this, the girl's hip and belly are portrayed naked. Also torso, shoulders and breasts are exposed on the work of art.

All in all a sexy and sensual erotic picture with romance.

Otto Theodore Gustav Lingner (25 August 1856 in Kolberg, then Germany, now Poland; after 1930) was a German nude, genre and portrait painter.

After completing his internship in Kolberg, Lingner studied painting at the Royal Prussian Academy of Arts in Berlin and continued his studies in Bremen. Together with Fitger he made murals in the town hall of Bremen, then followed him to Hamburg.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
