An edited night shot of the Arc de Triomphe, with the dome itself forming the legs of a LEGO doll.
The image offers a surprising view of this iconic monument in Paris. The majestic Arc de Triomphe, shrouded in the darkness of night, is transformed into a playful scene by the addition of a LEGO figure. Noteworthy is how the dome of the arch acts as the legs of this playful character, creating a unique and humorous image.
The combination of the historic architecture of the Arc de Triomphe and LEGO's playful character adds an interesting dynamic to the image. It contrasts the seriousness and grandeur of the monument with an airy and playful aesthetic, creating an intriguing visual contrast.
The addition of the LEGO puppet also brings a sense of recognition and nostalgia, inviting the viewer to look at this famous monument in a new way. It raises questions about the relationship between traditional monuments and modern pop culture, inviting a fresh and playful interpretation of familiar landmarks.
In short, this edited night photograph offers a unique and creative take on the Arc de Triomphe, blurring the boundaries between reality and imagination, challenging the viewer to look at the world around them with new eyes.
It all started with a4 paper and HB pencils. As a child I was often impressed by how beautiful the world around me was. The urge to capture this beautiful world, and to show the people around me what I saw, was actually there from the beginning. If I remember correctly, I was about eleven years old when I first met the camera. Of course it was a simple compact camera with a ridiculous quality, but I enjoyed it.
I sometimes said I wanted to be a photographer, but of course you have one of the two parents who says, "Dream on." Strangely enough, I followed the sarcastic remark as advice, and still went to study photography.
