Arjen Robben (Bedum, January 23, 1984) is a Dutch former professional footballer who usually played as a wing attacker. Robben played 96 times in the Dutch national team between 2003 and 2017, for which he scored thirty-seven times.

Robben made his debut in professional soccer in December 2000 at FC Groningen. After a season and a half he moved to PSV, where he won his first national title in 2003 and was named Dutch Talent of the Year. In 2004 he moved to Chelsea for eighteen million euros. Although plagued by injuries, Robben grabbed two national championships in a row (2005 and 2006) with The Blues.

After three years at Chelsea, Robben left for Real Madrid in 2007 for thirty-five million euros. He became a key player in the team that won the Spanish title in 2008 and played there together with five fellow countrymen; Van Nistelrooij, Sneijder, Drenthe, Van der Vaart and Huntelaar. In the summer of 2009, the purchase of new Galácticos forced him to leave and he made the switch to Bayern Munich. With the German Rekordmeister he won twenty prizes, including the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and five times the German double. Robben played at Bayern for ten years together in the attack with Franck Ribéry. They were nicknamed "Robbery" as a pair here.

Robben made his debut in the Dutch national team in April 2003 at the age of nineteen. He represented his country at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 European Championships and the 2006, 2010 and 2014 World Cups. During the 2010 and 2014 World Cups, he was nominated for the Golden Ball. In 2014, Robben became the first footballer since Ruud Gullit (1987) to be elected Dutch Sportsman of the Year.
