Iconic image of the "bacardi girl" the image is an adaptation of the ad from the 1930s. Bacardi has been around for 7 generations and its origins are in Santiago de Cuba
Bacardi was founded on 4 February 1862 in Santiago de Cuba by Facundo Bacardí. The brand has a turbulent history, including the flight of several top executives in the 1960s for the regime of Fidel Castro. In that year, the company's assets in Cuba were nationalised. Its various operating companies in Mexico, Puerto Rico, the United States, the Bahama's and Bermuda were consolidated into one company in 1992. Today, it is one of the largest spirits groups in the world, with sales of about $5.5 billion (in 2008).
Topics and themes of my work are always "close to home" recognizable for everyone, they are stories/interpretations of reality. Covered tables, city views are like cubist art multi-perspective and each side is interesting in a different way.
