An almost adult Bald Eagle, this bird does fully have the distinctive white head. The Bald Eagle is a bird of prey found in Canada and the United States. The Bald Eagle's menu is varied. It eats fish, smaller birds, rodents. Sometimes it steals food from campsites or picnic areas. In Alaska, when American Salmon migrate up the rivers to spawn, dozens of eagles gather on site to feed on them.
Ronald Pol (1977) is a nature photographer from Deventer, the Netherlands. It was during a trip to Africa that his passion for nature photography started. The main focus is on the photography of animals (portraits and behaviour), but a variety of other subjects are photographed as well.
