Barge underway on the river IJsel
Barge empty en route on the IJsel passes Kampen at the new bridge. In the morning sun, the skipper's wife stands on the bridge. The skipper in the wheelhouse. A pleasure yacht just comes around the inland waterway. Thus work and pleasure are put in the same photo.
Port photography is a fascinating form of photography that focuses on capturing the activity in ports. Port towns are often bustling centres of trade and industry, with ships, trucks and trains moving in and out to load and unload goods. This offers photographers the opportunity to capture beautiful images of large ships docked at the quayside, crane machines loading and unloading containers from and onto the ships, and workers busy at work.
