The Batu Caves is a Hindu temple complex spread out over several caves. An enormous staircase leads up to a temple at the top of a large hill.
There are a lot of monkeys here, drawn by all the people hoping for either a snack tossed in their direction or the opportunity to steal if from you when you are off guard. I took this picture while going back down the staircase. The monkey was sitting on one of the ornaments of the balustrade, overlooking the temple in the background. What I like about the picture is the field of depth (Bokeh).
It must have been at leat 40 degrees Celcius thay day and the monkeys didn't seem affected by it at all.
I quit my job in 2016 to go and travel for a year. I visited 14 countries. At the start of my trip I bought a professional camera and from that moment I got hooked on photography. I really never went anywhere without it.
A picture can say so much; a lot of moments pass before you know it but with a photo you can capture those moments for ever. It is quite a challenge to take a good picture; of course you need an eye for perspective but of timing and luck also have a lot to do with it. But when you finally make that shot you were looking for it is so rewarding.
I'm planning to travel more and do more photography. Life is to short not to enjoy it to it's fullest.
