Digital watercolourpainting. In creating this work, I was inspired by groynes on the beach, where I very much enjoy visiting. The pile heads are partly covered with seaweed, a beautiful image. Where I usually work with line, them now I used only the watercolourpaint. It is abstracted, but has a certain natural look.
I see beautiful beach scenes here and can almost hear the surf. That's why the title 'Beach Vibes' was chosen.
I really like the transparency of aquarelpaint. Mixing the paint with more or less water creates the different transparent shapes. The pigmentation is airier than oil paint, for example, which for me appeals more to the imagination.
It is minimalist and playful, with the greying blues and browns and dark bold accents giving a calming look. It would fit well as an eye-catcher in a minimalist interior, Scandinavian or Japandi.
My work is inspired by nature, flowers and plants, all the beauty Mother Earth gives us. My personal tribute! Let's take care of all that beauty, and use it with respect and love, nature can do very well without us, we not without nature
Has it ever been different?
I was always drawing ー as early as primary school, the margin of my notebooks was full of scribbles that didn't have much to do with what was supposed to be there. A lot of nature, especially flora.
