Spanderswoud is a forest area between Hilversum and Bussum in the Gooi region. In the past, the beech avenues were laid out in circular patterns and straight lanes. Often with double rows of beeches on either side. The light and impression is different in every season. Even on 1 day, the changing light conditions can bring about different emotions. The tall trees with a luxuriant canopy above them always give me the impression of a cathedral. A cathedral of nature. The original photo was digitally painted to emphasise the beautiful light.
I graduated from teacher training college D'Witte Leli in Amsterdam in the subjects Drawing and Handicrafts. Even during my studies, I often carried out assignments slightly differently from what was asked. That 'different' then manifested itself in unusual use of materials, combinations of techniques and different points of view. The ultimate goal was, and still is, to make something I like. That 'different' also manifested itself in the desire to keep trying new things. With my works, you will also not easily find the common thread or judge them as one-sided. There are so many nice things in life!
