My fascination with photography started back in secondary school. It amazed me that you could capture what you had seen or experienced but that it is a lot harder to convey the emotional value in the image.
I gave up studying mathematics and physics and, after a period of freelance work, decided to settle in Amsterdam as a photographer in the early 1980s.
Professional photography is an interaction with very diverse clients. Not only making what they need but also thinking along and developing the project. The styling of corporate photography is often very goal-oriented. So creating atmosphere or impact is also part of this functionality. Even without digital technology, it is quite possible to generate strong images. Black and white, infrared, optical lens techniques!
A few years ago, I obtained qualifications in architecture and illustrative photography. The images were exhibited in England, among other places. In these categories, I was able to produce work for interior design. Photo intended as decoration in hotels, institutions, restaurants , etc.
