A yellow canary sits on the edge of oval open window and has a nice view of a wooded landscape. This landscape is a detail from the "Djævlekløften i Liselunds have på Møn" , painted in 1809 by Danish painter Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg (1783 -1853).
This vista from inside to outside is a trompe-l'œil: an image in fine art in which an optical illusion is deliberately created.
This artwork is my ode to promising springs and to happy summers.
