I work in Photoshop. I mix my own photos's with existing (copyright-free) material and my own ideas. I leave existing material (paintings, drawings, litho's, etc.) in their original state as much as possible. Any imperfections therefore remain visible when I find it of added value.
Everyone looks at art in their own way. To influence this as little as possible, I leave to the viewer what his or her thoughts or feelings about it are. I don't want to steer in emotions or preferences, for example; everyone is allowed to experience their own findings.
People are allowed to question my work. The answers lie with the viewers themselves. I want to give them the chance to give their own interpretation, to make the work their 'own' own. Of course, I also pay attention to aesthetics. After all, a work has to be decorative and/or attractive.
I am a photographer as well as a copywriter. I enjoy language, images and art. As a photographer, I am self-taught. I studied at the School for Photography in Breda to develop myself further. My current work can be described as digital art. I mix my own photos.. Read more…
