This is one of the many colorful cafes and bars lining what I called the sunny side of the canal at Nyhavn Harbor in Copenhagen, Denmark. I visited in December so the sun was low in the sky and didn't clear the tall buildings on the other side of the harbor.
This blue cafe is very striking, with a just a few tables and chairs immediately outside, though over the other side of the walkway there were more. I thought it looked really cute and picturesque. Sitting outside here you can look at the historic boats moored in the harbor and indulge in that well know pastime of people watching! Mind you, in December it is cold, but they provide blankets for you to wrap over your legs which I though was very civilized.
The cafes and restaurants at Nyhavn work hard to attract tourists as there are lot of places to eat and drink to choose from.
