The painting "Blue Ice" in the Series "Austeria" is inspired by the earth and the patterns that occur there as the name suggests it is about the dark blue ice that is 10,000s of years old and comes to the surface when glaciers melt . It is a mixed media painting on canvas based on oil paint.
Born in France, Beatrice Chauville walked a double path: she was a young mother and worked for an art gallery in Burgundy in the late 1970s. In the early 1980s, she moved to Salernes (southern France) to work in the capital of ceramics to design patterns and make ceramics. Alongside her profession as an art ceramist, she continued her contemporary painting for more than 20 years. In 2010, she focused mainly on painting and opened her own gallery in Lorgues (25km above St Tropez)
