The Blue Poison Dart Frog is a poisonous frog, the species is endemic to Suriname in an area called the Sipaliwinisavannah. This frog lives in the rainforest and its food consists of small invertebrates such as insects, snails and mites that they catch during the day. The blue colour of this frog is very unusual in nature and it is therefore left alone by enemies because it is poisonous.
Ronald Pol (1977) is a nature photographer from Deventer, the Netherlands. It was during a trip to Africa that his passion for nature photography started. The main focus is on the photography of animals (portraits and behaviour), but a variety of other subjects are photographed as well.
