Belgian Durbuy, at the edge of the Ardennes, also described as the smallest town in the world, has a lot of history. The cottage-like houses and narrow cobblestone streets are characteristic. In addition, the view of this imposing castle, called Chateau d'Ursel, takes you back in time. It is surrounded by lots of greenery and water, but it rises above everything else. The flow of the shallow water of the river Ourthe, is clearly visible and leads the eye to the castle. Early evening is falling and I sought a spot on the other side. By using a filter, I was able to slow down the shutter speed, which created a nice smoothness of the water. The mirror of the castle became clearly visible. The clouds in the sky added something dramatic. It fits well in this atmospheric, almost autumnal image.
I am a very passionate photographer. Nature has so much to offer, wandering around keeps my head clear and brings calmness. Through macro photography I make the invisible visible. However, I also love to capture landscapes and cityscapes. After all, it is not what you look at that matters, it is what you see.
