Painting, acrylic on canvas from the series "Camouflage" Snapshots of modern life are the motifs of Sabine Minten's representational painting. In an artificial staging, colour permeates the pictorial space like a liquid, like air or better still: like an immaterial substance. People appear immersed in unreal colours and lights and thus removed from the viewer. The pictures tell of strange states of suspension, of dissolution and encapsulation, of waiting for something undefined.
