Let me introduce myself: Artist Mir Mirthe Kolkman van der Klip born in Oldenzaal in 1963.Autodidact Everything that had to do with creativity fascinated me from an early age. After a lot of rural wanderings, I finally went to live in the Achterhoek with my lovely family. Surrounded by the beautiful quiet village natural environment. Where I can see and discover a lot of inspiration and can express on the canvas. My Mir works of art arise from passion that I release on the canvas. Many colorful and inspired by animals with sometimes some added humor like cows that picknick chickens that make music. Where a lot of variation in different styles and forms is recognition of my artworks. This versatility is something I embrace and what belongs to me. I give it plenty of space. So for myself to push boundaries and to find new challenges and to try different paint techniques to try and work. This gives me the free feeling to paint what I like and do so with a lot fun .I enjoy painting both abstract and figurative.Lots of times I find my inspiration in nature or the imagination.I hope that with my painting I can add a warm, cozy atmosphere in the homely living environment or as inspiration on the work floor . Colorful greeting, Artist Mir
