For me, photography is more than capturing the perfect moment. Every time I try to capture my astonishment with a single photo, I am disappointed. This was not what I want to see and feel. It is larger, more complex, more diffuse.
In my hypercollages, I want to bring all those fragments together so that together they begin to tell a story.
From constantly photographing those fragments, the series 'Casplantjes’ emerged naturally. So they form a basis for my hypercollages. My painter's palette. They are the most direct translation of my experience of nature and pay a true homage to the endless details of the ecosystem.
