One of the things I love about old Italian towns is that there is rarely a straight line to be seen, just a juxtaposition of different buildings leaning in different directions, old pipes, balconies - actually wonderful jumble of architecture that just works! This is a view down the main street in Castiglione del Lago, Umbria, Italy in early evening. I love the different roof lines, windows, balconies and the curve of the street. This photo was taken just before the tourists arrive to visit the many restaurants and bars and shows the various delicatessens and shops awaiting their arrival.
