A popular town on the edge of Lago Trasimeno in Umbria, Italy, Passignano sul Trasimeno is very popular with tourists but also Italians that live around the lake. It is a popular place to visit at the weekend for Italian families. It also has a ferry port for the boats that take passengers between the town, the islands on the lake, and towns on the other side such as Castiglione del Lago.
Passignano sul Trasimeno has a number of souvenir shops selling locally made and hand painted ceramics, or 'Ceramiche d'Arte'. They are handily located near where passengers disembark the ferries and near the main area for restaurants, bars and ice cream parlours.
Here is a view across the displays of two such shops, where much of their items are laid out decoratively in front of the shops for people to browse. It is hard to go there and not buy something I have to say!
