This photo was taken in a beautiful field of flowers in the city park of Nancy, France. I love poppies, to me they are the ultimate summer flowers: they are colorful, happy little things with beautiful petals. Often, it takes some time to photograph them, all depening on the weather. A minor breeze makes them wobble easily. But if all works out and there is a a bit of sun behind the poppies, the petals will stand out in a beautiful way.
When editing my poppy photos, I try to find something in the image that stands out. The next step is to emphasize just that. But sometimes it is all just a matter of experimenting, in color, lighting, contrast etc. And that's how each edit creates a different (poppy) photo.

I enjoy taking pictures of nature, from colorful flowers to the vast landscapes of Scotland and Norway. Photos of European cities can also be found in my shop. Whatever photos they are, I create them with the idea that they really add atmosphere to your home or workplace.
