Two Children playing on the beach in the surf. Also visible in the background are the dunes and some vacationing bathers. Two seagulls complete the picture.
Although the image is fictitious it depicts a typical beach scene as you can find along the beaches of North Holland. Hans lived along this coast for many years and liked to be inspired by the beach and the water of the North Sea.
