A bright and cheery image showing a chinese dragon decoration hanging on the side of a building in Wardour Street on the edge of China Town in Soho, London. China Town was an established center of London's Chinese community by the 1960 s. It became known for its restaurants and in the 1980 s the area was decorated with Chinese gates, street furniture and a pavilion. Today, as well as the many restaurants, there are an amazing array of shops, Chinese health clinics and more. It is worth a visit at any time of year, but particularly during the Chinese New Year celebrations.
