ART Eva Maria is a specialist in personal painting. Eva van den Hamsvoort (Eva Maria) graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts in Breda in 1993, since then she has been working as an artist, creating commissioned paintings and paintings for ART Eva Maria Online Gallery.
"My work consists of portraits, group portraits, landscapes, still lifes and abstract work. For the artworks, I use different techniques: paint, pencil and mixed media. Graceful, loose, but sometimes a bit tighter and graphic. I want to capture a memory in images. This can be a memory of a place I visited, a face, a symbol or a feeling. I like to work with different layers with which I build up an image, so it becomes lived-in and artistic. The aim is to create an aesthetic image that enters people's minds in a pleasant, sometimes stimulating way. I make the artwork from within myself, but it is intended for someone else. The interesting thing is that you never know in advance where and to whom it will end up. Art is for everyone and gives something to think about and enjoy. I made this special selection for Werk aan de Muur. I also make free painting and work on commission, especially portraits."
