About the artwork

A golden apple, discreetly held in the woman's hand, identifies her as Venus, goddess of love. According to Greek mythology, Venus received the apple as a prize in a famous beauty contest, where the judge, Paris, chose her as the most beautiful female goddess, causing the anger of the other two candidates (Juno and Minerva). The artist portrays Venus as an ideal and attractive woman of half length, with her hand suggestively touching her naked breast.

The topless girl shows the prominent nipples because her tit is naked.

Cornelis Cornelisz. van Haarlem, also called Cornelis Cornelisz. Painter or Cornelis Cornelisz. Inde Zwan, (Haarlem, Netherlands 1562 - 11 November 1638), was a North Dutch painter and draughtsman. He was one of the most important Mannerist painters in the Republic of the Seven United Netherlands and an important forerunner of Frans Hals.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
