This is a photo I took in the hallway of a 16th century abandoned monastery in Italy. The monastery is located on a cliff with a beautiful view of the landscape, but is also difficult to reach. In 1973 the building was permanently closed, having also served as a college, gym and high school. Due to an earthquake in 1980 and natural decay, the building has fallen into considerable disrepair.
