The cows go out of the meadow to the barn to be milked again, the cows including a BrownSwiss stop for a moment to curiously see what I am up to. The backdrop is a typically Dutch cloudy sky, with yellow roadside flowers and the green grass creating a beautiful colour image.
The calmness with which the cows walk to the barn in rank order behind each other gives this picture a special dynamic. A scene you can watch with ease, the cows stop for a moment to look at each other curiously and then continue walking at their leisure to the stable.
