Two dandelions (Taraxacum officinale) photographed with a unique lens, the new Canon rf 135 f1.8 L IS, combined with the full-frame Canon R5. This makes it possible to get both fantastic sharpness in the foreground, and a beautiful gradient to blur in the background. These dandelions are both in a different part of their final stage; in the case of the flower in the foreground, only some of the seeds have shed. Through the angle, the dandelion is looking, as it were, at its companion, which is already further along. This connects them, so to speak. The photo was taken in Leiden.
We are both biologists and through our profession rolled into photography. Since 2010 we have been making commissioned images. These are often reportages, but also custom photography. For example, for on the wall.
Part of this we make available through Werkaandemuur.
