I was born in 1965 and became interested in photography at a very early age.
My first camera was my father's - an Agfa, which didn't always work the way I thought it would. Most of the time, the film transport didn't work and I was surprised that after developing at the source, only three to five pictures turned out to be something, the rest were not exposed at all.
My next camera, my first, was a Pocket from Revue. It worked quite well, but it wasn't for long. Finally, I bought my first SLR camera at Neckermann. Even though the battery was always empty, I was happy with it. Unfortunately, I no longer have it.
Then came the Miniolta 7000i. I loved it and I had my first great lenses with it. I also bought the Dynax 800i as a second camera and a super flash.
The Minolta era came to an end when I saw a second-hand Nikon F90 in the shop window. Then I quickly added the F100.
I have always photographed on film, slides, in colour, black and white with my own laboratory and then finally digitally,
I started digitally with a Sony from Photo Porst, which lasted a long time and I still have it today. Then came a Nikon D70, closely followed by a D200.
Today I shoot with a Nikon D850 and a Z6 with different lenses - sometimes in colour - sometimes in black and white. And when I'm bored, I scan old negatives or slides and go retro...
