The Silver Tower is an office building on Prinses Beatrixlaan in The Hague. Designed by architects Oyevaar, Stolle, van Gool, it was built in 1968. It is one of the striking representatives of modern architecture in the Beatrix Quarter of The Hague. The building is occupied by MN Services, one of the largest pension administrators in the Netherlands. The photo was taken obliquely from the side, creating a nice perspective effect. The white lines get closer and closer together towards the top right. The slanted angle makes the windows almost invisible and emphasises the triangles at the bottom of the silver band. I converted the photo to black and white with Nik Collection Silver Efex Pro.
Photography is looking with different eyes. For over 10 years I have tried to capture my view of the world through the lens. My favorite subjects are landscapes, nature, macro photography, cities and architecture.
