From the emergence of an imaginary life form. Through reflection and symmetry, I created a pattern from the pencil drawing called Discovery 3.
Fossils and traces of living beings from long ago inspire me very much. On the one hand, they stand for what has been. On the other hand, they stand for the origin and emergence of life. In this respect, this pattern is an allusion to cell division, which is the basic prerequisite for the growth and reproduction of all (known to us) living beings.
The image is based on the idea that ancient life forms can represent a link between the past and the future. They inspire a mental journey through the millennia or millions of years - almost like getting into a time machine. They have inspired me to imagine what undiscovered creatures from the past or future living things might look like.
Every creature leaves its traces and signs in the course of time. Ideally, it finds ways to reproduce and exist for generations. Some of these creatures will be discovered.
Photography, drawings and abstract designs // My work is inspired by long hikes in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains and through the beautiful forests in Saxony. I would like to share my impressions with you and bring the magic of nature into your home. Trees and their strong roots, reflections in calm water, but also the shapes of leaves, flowers and rocks are among my favourite topics.
