Portrait photograph with special perspective. The photo was taken in Dodevlei (Deadvlei, in Sossusvlei in Namibia in Africa, when I was traveling there.
At the very top of the photo we see a small edge of blue sky. Below that, a rim of the typical red and orange sand dunes of this desert is visible. Against the lower edge of these are side by side, left of center, two dead trees.
The rest of the photo consists of the beautiful white limestone layer with which this valley is covered. Due to the drought, it is full of cracks with a beautiful craquelé effect.
The soil is soft yellow in color and has many small asymmetrical round shapes. The special composition makes it a photo that stands out, although most people know this landscape from other photos.
